The Art of Obsolescence - Abandoned Olympic Sites |
| If you thought buying a new car was a bad idea (how much value they lose once they become used), it is truly amazing to consider what happens to Olympic Venues after the closing ceremonies. What cost hundreds of millions of dollars, sometimes billions of dollars, in many cases instantly becomes useless. I am fascinated by the any type of extreme niche photography, this is a great example;
Flavorwire.com has compiled some shocking images of some of the abandoned Olympics sites from around the world. Some of the structures are not even that old. |
